The Killers Announced Comeback at Lollapalooza Chile 2011


The inaugural Chile edition of the Lollapalooza festival will be headline by The Killers band along with Kayne West, it’s been announced.

At O’Higgins Park in Santiago on April 2-3,the two day events will going to take place.

30 Seconds To Mars, Fatboy Slim, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cold War Kids and The National are other acts confirmed to play at the festival.

Jane’s Addiction, the band fronted by Lollapaloozaorganisers Perry Ferell, will also appear.

"The job we did to gather these artists for 2011 was remarkable," Farrell said.

"Imagine gathering 60 artists while the contract ink is still wet. We put it together at a record pace as we had four months. We did not want to come to Chile with a lineup that was anything other than world-class.”

The original Lollapalooza takes place in Chicago.

Killers man in the studio with Howling Bells


To begin work on third album,The Killers' bassist Mark Stoermer has entered the studio with Howling Bells.

To make the follow-up to their 2009 album 'Radio Wars',the band have set up in The Killers' Battle Born facility in Las Vegas.

Members of Howling Bells said that the move has been made to assist them "channel some desert spirit - casinos and neon signs aside, it's a special place".

The album is expected to be released later in 2011.

The Killer perform Top of the Mountain concert

The Killers band will be performing season-closing Top of the Mountain concert at the Ischgl is the Austrian resort on 30 April Saturday.

UK singer Mr Brightside has been voted the second-best song of the decade and the album Hot Fuss spent a record 173 weeks in the UK Albums Chart.

This concert was first opening performed by Beth Ditto and her Indie rock band Gossip at the end of November 2010 to an enthusiastic crowd of 20,000.

The Top of the Mountain concert take place the top station of the main Silvretta gondola out of Ischgl, enter in the middle of the UK’s ‘Bonus Royal Bank Holiday Weekend’ and a great excuse to escape to the mountains.

Killers to close Ischgl


For top of the Mountain concert in the Austrian resort,The Killers band are set to perform at the end of this year.

Band will perform on the stage specially built up on the slopes to 20,000 fans. It promises to be quite a day.

There is nothing new for musical superstars related to this resort.

At the resort's opening and closing concerts so many big stars like Sir Elton John, Kylie, Rihanna, Katy Perry, The Scissor Sisters have performed.Gossip opened the resort this season.

The Killers though should be extra special as they are one of the famous bands to play so far and it is an honor for the Austrian resort.

Gig is confirmed on Saturday April 30th and it marks a bit of departure for the resort that tends to have more middle-of-the-road acts.

The Killers have edge and are a major headlining festival band.

Brandon Flowers love intimate shows


The Killer band star Brandon Flowers were of the view that playing to small crowds helps his performance.The star is consider as a most charismatic stage performers in music.

The singer also unveil that he feels secure and confident while playing in front of small crowd.

“Yes, I appreciate it. It makes me feel like they're with me. It wasn't that long ago that I was playing gigs and people would come to critique it and to decide whether we were worth it - and I guess that kind of stuck with me. I want to get past that,” he said.

Brandon loves to perform live and he also want his fans to sing along with him while he is performing.The musician says the experience is one of the most rewarding things about being in the business.

“I want to know that people are there to enjoy it, and because they love it. So, once I see them singing along I start to ease into it,” he added.
