Bugti's killers PML-N will not spare




LAHORE - PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has demanded of the government to play its role in bringing the killers of Nawab Akbar Bugti to justice forthwith.He was talking to grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti and Jamhoori Watan Party chief Shah Zain Bugti who called on him at his residence at Raiwind on Wednesday. Nawaz Sharif said the Baloch people had equal rights over natural appliance like provinces. He said it was responsibility of the present government and all political parties to bring the Baloch into national arena for progress and prosperity of the county. Terming the assassination of Nawab Akbar Bugti a brutal act, he said it would not be compromised. He said the nation was intensely concerned over the prevailing situation in Balochistan. Nawaz said, “The grievances and concerns of the Baloch cannot ignored, and without provincial cohesion and brahness the federation cannot survive.” He said PML-N would appeal the case of Baloch in the same way as it did in restoration of the judiciary. Nawaz said the country could not afford to countenance the East Pakistan-like situation in Balochistan when the majority party was not allowed to form government and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was detained in West Pakistan. “Such situations surface due to dictatorship and martial laws.” He said after the February 18 mandate given by the people, the time had come that the Baloch should be given their due rights and be compensated for the rulers’ past mistakes. “We want to relieve the people of Balochistan that we would fight their case till they get their rights,” he said. Nawaz said PML-N would not angular those who killed Nawab Akbar Bugti. His killers must be brought to justice, he asserted. “I absolutely have no doubt that all the problems that we face today, including extremism and militancy, would not have been created had there been no military coups.”
