The Killers Last Christmas

The Killers are one of my favourite bands. Last year on Christmas The Killers performs on a live concert and the band sounded phenomenal. They honestly sounded better than the recordings found on their CDs. Not only did they play tracks from their new album, they played all their crowd pleasers, and I mean every last one of them. I don’t think their was a disappointed fan in the music hall.

Like the last year we expect concert this Christmas from The Killers, they are one of the most popular English Band of the time.We want to see all of the vocalist, guitarist and musician all together once again on a platform to entertain there fans.

The Killers: Brandon Flowers is a Killer, Not a Gambler

Flowers gladly said, “I’d be working at a casino likely. That’s what I did before. I was very exciting to work for this tips and the hustle and bustle.”
Allure was working in the City of Sin as a teenager, Flowers said to the allure, “When I was 16 years old, I was (in Vegas) and my parents living in another state. When I was that age, it was very fun.”

The Killers play The White House

I remember when Paul McCartney was offered to play the Super Bowl Halftime show, he said something to the effect of it being “the greatest chance of his lifetime.” I chalked that up to him being an amiable brit, and quite possibly forgetting he was in The Beatles at one point in time. But The Killers playing On 4th July the White House might really be some sort of zenith for them, something for Old Man Flowers to tell his grandkids as he dandles them on his knee.
President Obama and First Lady Michelle hosted more than 1,200 military heroes and their families on the lawn of the White House last night in celebration of The 4th. The concert bill featured many great acts in addition to The Killers: Barack Obama, Cedric “The Entertainer”, Brandi Carlile, and our National Capital 4th Of July Fireworks Display.
Opener President Obama kept it concise, and avoided a boilerplate flag waving Independence Day platform, instead opting for a heart felt, passionate speech saluting our armed forces with words pregnant with patriotism and love for his country. You can tell this guy’s got some chops, and expect him to see him at bigger venues in the near future. Only complaint is I wish he would have thrown in a John Cougar Mellencamp cover or something.
And so then a little bit later The Killers, fresh off/on their hiatus, came out and did a truncated show leading into the fireworks display. The band didn’t skip a beat, pounding out singles from their catalogue while Flowers commanded the the stage. Highlights include God Bless America which comes off as one of the more earnest things The Killers have done currently, and When You Were Young into the fireworks display is most grand indeed. Check out the videos below.
Flowers’ solo album, Flamingo, is due out September 14th via Island Records.
The Killers Setlist:
IntroHuman
Somebody Told Me
Mr. Brightside
A Dustland Fairytale
God Bless America
Read My Mind
When You Were Young

The Killers: The Killers Cancel Tour But Deny Breaking Up

The Killers Cancel Tour But Deny Breaking Up was a top story in Feb. Here is the recap: The Killers canceled their Asian tour last month and now the Australian leg has been axed due to a family illness. A statement the band issued on their website announcing the latest cancelation and also denying reports of their demise as a band. Here is what they had to say:
The Killers had hoped that the Australian leg of their recent tour would be completed as planned, but due to the severity of the illness of a close family member, they regretfully announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival Sydney and Good Vibrations Festival Perth this weekend. The band excuse to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding. The Killers still intend to perform at the Good Vibrations Festival's Gold Coast and Melbourne shows next weekend.
The Killers would also like to take this chance to assure their fans that any concerns about the future of the band are unfounded. They are all looking forward to some time off at the end of this tour as they have been on the road for a long time, but there are no plans for an indefinite hiatus.
